On 1990 A.D. almost 4.2 Billion years after the EARTH was born, a small group of homo sapiens - one of the superior (read 'the most stupidest') being on the planet came to gather and decided that its time to stop the destruction they have been causing on mother nature...They decided to call April 22nd the EARTH DAY.
27 years have passed since then, there has been a lots of awareness created on many of the issues concerning the destruction caused to mother nature...
They fight against lots of activities (read industries) causing a major dent in the earths's ecology... ranging from Global warming... to rain forest depletion in Brazil... till Sulphate poisoning in Russia...
Their efforts will not succeed without our co-operation
After all there is just one Earth...
Lets make Earth DAY Every Day
